“Not into hardcore hiking? No worries—just drive up (though fair warning, the road’s a bit of an off-road challenge). At the top, you can wander through ancient ruins, open fields, or even scramble up to the peak for a killer view. Sunsets are gorgeous, but the real magic happens August 15th, around 4–5 a.m. Start your hike from Xirokastelo or Argasi, and join the locals for a unique pre-dawn celebration of the Virgin Mary at the summit church. It’s tradition, nature, and Greek spirit all in one unforgettable morning.”
Porto Mela Restaurant Dafni Beach

“So this one is tricky, as you will be entering some private property to get to your final destination. Rule of thumb: always be polite when approached by an angry old Greek man telling you you’re trespassing. Tell them where you’re going, and chances are they might even show you the way. Otherwise, you turn around and have Karen TikTok content that could get your kids through college when it goes viral. You start at the peak of “Douretes,” and you essentially walk down the hill and then up again. I will screenshot the path, but you must enter at your own risk. Hehe. Enjoy!”

“A bit longer but worth it. Start from the Village of Volimes and be sure to have plenty of water and snacks for a small Picknick at the monastery.”
