The Armoury Bar

“Every drink comes with a deactivated gun. This small bar offers you a weapon with each drink, the bartenders know impeccable English and they tell you some facts about each weapon they present to you. They have a good craft beer collection and some exceptional Gin's and Rum's from a local distillery called "Distillers Republic". We only tried gin's "Dry as a nun (pine buds)" and "Dry as a nun blue - baller" really stood out! They're also reasonably priced and have a foosball table on the basement floor!”

Lido Alus sēta

“"Lido" is a Latvian restaurant chain where they serve the traditional cuisine, it's a very easy way to tap into it since they have a large menu every day. You can easily get a meal for 10-15€ (drink and dessert included). You just go in, grab a tray (as it is self - service) and put whatever you think you'd like on it, they have little tabs in English for each dish.”

Rīgas Motormuzejs

“Full price tickets are 12€ They have a selection of old cars and they've tried to make the museum as interactive as possible, it was a fun experience and I'm saying that as a person that doesn't really care for cars! The gift shop is also reasonably priced if you're looking for a lil trinket In the entrance there's also a cafe where you can get a snack or a light meal”

Big Bad Bagels

“I have a special spot in my heart for bagels and these guys have many different options! You can some classic combinations or something a little more unusual. The prices are 6-10€ per bagel, but they're quite filling imo”

Rocket Bean Raiņa Bulvāris

“A cool vibes coffee shop overseeing the freedom monument (well, the back of it) They also offer some snacks for 6-8€ like breakfast burger and Caesars wraps”

Siguldas pilsdrupu estrāde

“You can walk around the Castle for free, they have a big garden with coffee shops and souvenir shops, such as handmade wooden things (from spoons, F1 cars, helicopters, coasters and many, many more) You can also go to the back and get into the old fortress, the admission is 2.50€ or 1.50€ with a student ID, and you can go up the stairs to two buildings. The closest one is the one that they've made more like a museum (don't forget to go through the secret passage!) and the farthest one is a great view point, although the view is mostly greenery ”

Tarzāns

“A fun little amusement park, many choices to do, mainly catered to children, but an adult can also have some fun! We took the cable car up to see the view and went down with the blue little "car" at the top they're several view points”

Siguldas Ezītis miglā

“Another Latvian restaurant chain, with each dish ranging from 10€ to 15€, but the portions are quite big! It's also self service, so you have to go in to order and they bring you your meal when it's ready ”

Kokneses viduslaiku pilsdrupas

“Castle ruins that you can walk around, have a picnic or visit the dungeon. You can also take a boat trip to see it from a river perspective from "Likteņdārzs" which is not listed on the app”
