I lived in Berlin for 5 years. i recently moved back to athens, i felt like it was finally the right moment after contemplating the move for a long time. i put off making this guide until after leaving, to have a clearer view of what the places are for me that give this city its beat and take up a special seat in my heart. (spoiler alert, its not any clubs). Berlin is a weird ass city. many love it, and many hate it. most people do both. i do both. it can be really dark, and really cold, and really, really pretentious. but its also very beautiful, especially in the summer. you can feel the whole city spread out in front of you like a million shots yet untaken. in the air, a fresh breath of opportunity. in this guide i’ll list, of the hundreds of places i visited in five years, the ones i find myself thinking of the most often. the places that kept me from moving away because i would miss them so much. the places that made me feel so free, so young, so cozy! so long, b-town 😎

i love me an overpriced latte or a weird green drink. I love me a gentrified cafe where everyone looks like a model. thats practically all i did in berlin, is go to these. so there you go.
